Hello Alice, that’s a shame as you will just have missed Paléo Festival which is a BIG event in Nyon. It’s Switzerland’s biggest rock festival and takes place just above the town. Nevertheless, there is still loads to do and see here, go for a walk in the vineyards, take a boat across the lake, take a train to see Château Chillon near Montreux, the friendly staff at Nyon tourist office can help you with lots more info!
