If you think you are a bit of an expert at making a fondue, or if you simply want to have a fondue with friends in the surrounds of a pretty wine-making village, then why not head off to the 2nd World Fondue Competition in Tartegnin on Saturday the 18th November?
You can enter the fondue making competition (sign-up necessary) or just have a fondue in a big marquee which will be set up in the centre of Tartegnin. There will be an all-day bar open at the festival/contest, Guggenmusik, traditional folkloric music and more. Free shuttle buses will be provided from Rolle railway station to Tartegnin. The village itself will be closed to traffic and three car parks will be made available just outside the village.
This event is a biennial event (it only takes place every two years). More information on this festival/contest on the website – note, the site has information in English but there are more details of the actual programme, timings etc, under the French section.
