The vines below Nyon's château are full of grapes at the moment - the photo below was taken on Sunday 29th September and we are now into the "vendanges" (harvest) season.
The 9th Fête de la Vigne in Nyon will take place in the Place du Château on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th October and there are lots of activities planned.
There will be music on Friday night in front of the castle from 19:00 onwards. Food and wine stands, a light show on the wall of the castle and more. The pressing of the grapes will take place at 15:00 on Saturday.
Over 15 vignerons will be present on Saturday from 10:00 -17.00. Just buy a wine glass for CHF 15 to taste all the wines on offer.
Note: Entry is free to all Nyon museums on Saturday 5th October.
