Second-Hand Shop Celebrates 15 years - Discounts, offers 31 Oct/1st Nov

The Salvation Army's second-hand shop in Nyon will celebrate 15 years in its current location on Wednesday the 31st October and Thursday 1st November, from 09:00 -18:30 (no lunch time closure on these two days). There will be entertainment and discounts - see below. The shop will also be running a special offer on these two days, customers can fill up a Brocki bag with items from the store (apart from goods inside the windows and glass cases), for just CHF 25. This big second-hand shop is a great place to pick up a bargain, from furniture to children's toys, houseware, decorations, clothes, bags, works of art and more. Their website list some of their current stock here. The store is at the Centre Articom, Route de Divonne 48, 1260 Nyon.  Tel 022 361 337. This Brocki (short for brocante) also welcomes the donation of goods to its store, proceeds of sales go towards the Salvation Army's charitable causes. These range from helping the homeless to giving a hand those in need, both in Switzerland and in other countries. See here. The Nyon branch would really welcome donations of men's clothing in good condition. Demand is greater than supply at the moment.

Moving house? Did you know that the Salvation Army also sells Brocki packing boxes?  They can support a weight of up to 50 kilos and cost CHF 3. Details here   The also offer a house clearance service.
