As part of Nyon’s new energy saving scheme, “Nyon-Energie”, the town council is reaching out to locals to help them reduce the energy they use. Conscious of how complicated some of these issues can be, the town is organising a campaign to raise public awareness called “Eco-Contact”. “Energy Ambassadors” will make home visits to those Nyon residents who accept the offer in order to give them a few handy tips on how to start saving energy. They will be proposing a series of simple and effective measures which should not interfere with comfort. They will change your old light-bulbs, install power strips and even give you a new electric kettle! And all of this for free, with no hidden commercial catches.
