There will be fireworks at 22:15 on the 1st August at Nyon’s lakeside to celebrate Swiss National Day. Nyon château will also be lit up red for the occasion. Prior to the fireworks there will be an ceremony beginning at 19:00 at the Esplanade des Marroniers. At 19:40, there will be the ringing of bells, at 19:45 the presentation of the flag, the official ceremony will begin at 19:50 including an address by Mr Darius Rochebin, presenter of the nightly 19:30 news on RTS television.
After the ceremony finishes, there will be a parade through the town ending up by the Rive. Members of the public can take part in this parade. Children can take part too and carry lanterns through the town. More details in the poster below.
