2013 is drawing to a close and Living in Nyon would like to wish readers “Meilleurs Voeux pour la Nouvelle Année” and a Very Happy New Year!
Don’t forget to “like” the Living in Nyon Facebook page, to follow us on Twitter and to subscribe to the newsletter (see box on the right hand side of this site).
Also, a reminder that there is a currently a fascinating ten part radio series all about the English living in this part of Switzerland (and in modern England) presented by Cyril Dépraz on RTS Première Click here for the link
The series began on 23 December and continues until the 5th January. On the programme from the 24 December you can hear some familiar voices: the founder of Living in Nyon was a guest on the show, there were members of Geneva Operatic Society performing a pantomime; Hester McDonald from the Swiss Gardening school and more. On today’s show ( the 31st December) the English speaking radio station Mountain Radio Verbier was featured.
Free Entry to Museums 1/2 January. The three museums/ historic buildings of Nyon (the Musée du Leman, the Roman Museum and the castle) are offering free entrance on Wednesday 1 January and Thursday 2nd January from 14:00 to 17:00. They are definitely worth a visit if you have never been.
