The Tannay Musical Variations starts today the 16th August and continues until the 29th.
Tannay is a small village on the lake road near Nyon and once a year, it hosts a big classical music festival in the grounds of the château of Tannay. It’s a glorious setting to listen to music.
There’s a family concert on Saturday 24th August (free admission) with a performance of Peer Gynt, there will also be performances by soloists, chamber orchestras, there’s even a Cuban night on Sunday 25th August!
If you fancy venturing further afield this weekend, why not head over to Sion in the Valais?
It’s just an hour and 40 minutes on the train from Nyon (take the 44 minutes past the hour if you don’t want to change trains) or it’s approximately an hour and 20 minutes drive.
Sion also has a big classical music festival (The Sion Festival) which starts today and continues until the 1st September 2019. Check out our article on our sister site Living in Sion
Surrounded by the Alps the old town of Sion is situated in a glorious setting and as the weather forecast is looking great for the Valais this weekend, it would be a great opportunity to discover the capital of the Valais and dip into some music as the same time!
