Firstly, the Glass Menagerie by Tennesse Williams will be performed by GEDs ( Geneva English Drama Society) from the 13- 17 March 2012 at the Théâtre du Centre de l’Espérance in Geneva. This play is billed as “a deeply American play which demonstrates that hope and love are understanding as well as tragic”. This play was Tennesse’s William’s first successful play before he went on to become one of America’s most highly regarded playwrights and has not been played in Geneva in English for nearly 30 years. Expat business, voluntary and professional associations in Switzerland
The Connectors, the weekly programme “by expats for everyone “on World Radio Switzerland has recently started to feature professional and voluntary expat clubs, associations and groups across Switzerland. Members and representatives of these clubs are interviewed on the show and on Thursday the 23rd February, the American International Club of Geneva was featured.

Health Courses in English in Nyon – First Aid for Child Injuries
HealthFirst is running this course on two different dates in Nyon, 1st March and 13th March 2012 from 18:30-22:00. The course is packed with practical advice, hands on training, lively discussions and lots of information. Along with other topics, you can expect to:
- Learn how to deal with burns, scalds and electrocution
- Understand the importance of head injuries and what to do
- Practice how to deal with major bleeding, cuts, bites, broken bones and sprains
- Get advice on what you should have in your first aid kit and how to use it
The cost is 100 CHF per person and this includes a comprehensive course booklet.
Second hand English Books in Nyon .
There is a stall selling second hand books in different languages (including English) in the La Combe shopping centre today Friday 24 and Saturday 25 The stall is run by volunteers of Nyon hospital.
Sunday Flea Market
Flea market this Sunday the 26th February “Les Puces de Nyon” – The monthly flea market will take place down by the lake side in Nyon.
