Note for those coming to the drinks evening tonight in Nyon. The XVI Hotel in the centre of Nyon is in Place du Marché, so it is either a short walk from the railway station, or if you are driving, the easiest place to park will be in the central car park in Place Perdtemps.
Also note that if you are arranging to meet anyone else at the hotel, just sometimes there is a problem with signal strength for mobile phones under the arches or in the hotel. Buildings in this area are very old, some parts date back to Roman times. In the nightclub next door, part of the dance floor has glass flooring where you can see the Roman columns beneath. The Saturday market in Place du Marché is on the spot where there was a market in Roman times.
